Groups
Three research homes, one shared agenda.
PIRLab connects research activity across Cambridge, Ireland, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, with each group emphasizing a different slice of physical intelligence and robotics.
Network
Distributed, but conceptually tight.
The three groups are linked by shared methods, mentoring, and publication themes. Together they cover robot perception, predictive modeling, manipulation, robust estimation, and deployment-oriented systems research.
This structure keeps the website simple: the lab homepage speaks as one lab, while each group page can speak in its own research voice.
Cambridge Robotics Group
3D robot perception, semantic mapping, localization, construction automation, and embodied physical intelligence.
IrelandCambridge-Ireland International Centre Research Group
Predictive world models, 4D robot vision, real-to-sim transfer, and international collaboration around physical AI.
SJTUShanghai Jiao Tong University Research Group
Robot vision foundations in LiDAR odometry, 3D scene flow, robust estimation, and manipulation learning.
